GM Standard Results

Testing conducted against General Motors specification GM-4350-GM for bond and corrosion resistance characteristics.

The following summarizes the results:

Bond strength of Air-Cured Coats

  •     New (clean) Panels – (Result/Rating) Excellent
  •     Pre-Corroded Panels – (Result/Rating) Excellent

Bond strength after 2 hours of hot water immersion

  •     New (clean) Panels – (Result/Rating) Excellent
  •     Pre-Corroded Panels – (Result/Rating) Excellent

Neutral Salt spray Test – Corrosion Protection Rating

  • None of the tested panels developed blisters when examined at the end of the salt spray test. – (Result/Rating) Excellent
  • All test panels showed excellent adhesion of the material when tape tested shortly after termination of the salt spray test – no peel back occurred along inscribed lines. – (Result/Rating) Excellent
  • None of the test panels developed cracks or flaking when impacted with a force of 20N. – (Result/Rating) Excellent
  • Corrosion spotting was well within the specification limits of 10%. – (Result/Rating) Very Good
